SECURITY CLEARANCE REVOCATION BASED ON PSYCHOLOGICAL CONDITIONS REVERSED AFTER HARD FOUGHT HEARING PRESENTATION BY ATTORNEY HUGHES!
Following an initial determination to revoke client's security clearance, Patrick Hughes took on the role of representing his client through preparing a comprehensive response to the statement of reasons and skillfully presented her case during a hearing against the Defense Office of Hearings and Appeals (DOHA) counsel, presided over by an Administrative Law Judge (ALJ). Attorney Hughes's efforts proved effective as he successfully demonstrated that the client's psychological condition, which had initially raised concerns, should not deprive her of a security clearance. Moreover, he convincingly argued that the root cause of her condition stemmed from being a victim of a horrifying assault. In the end, the ALJ concurred with Attorney Hughes's arguments, acknowledging that the concerns surrounding the client's security clearance had been appeased. Consequently, the client's security clearance was reinstated following the DOHA hearing.
